Every week I bring you The Free Her Spirit Podcast. It’s where I get to talk about one of my favorite subjects: Feminine Spirituality.
Join me every Tuesday for interviews and personal narratives from women in all walks of life, including my own. Feminism meets the Divine. We are here to celebrate, we are here to share, we are here to bring more understanding and love into the world. Welcome!
Alisha Sommer is a freelance wrier and photographer in the suburbs of Chicago. She blends her love of words and a talent for creating visually stunning images to create authentic and and engaging content for brands and businesses. Alisha is also the co-facilitator of the the Instgram-based writing experience, liberated lines, and the upcoming Fever Dreams Collective Gathering taking place in 2018. She is a storyteller trying to find the way to tell the truest stories in the most beautiful way possible.

I found myself nodding so much during this conversation, from Alisha’s spiritual journey to her combating spiraling by capturing moments. Her work is truly mesmerizing and powerful. (Go follow her on Instagram, right now.) I love her way of looking at things and finding “touchstones” in her life. Really being able to savor the good things in life and being intentional is something we all feel a pull towards. Show of hands is anyone else a real journal/real book person? In a world of touchscreens I find it comforting to connect with the actual page.

Definitely check out Alisha’s offerings and follow her on Instagram. I know I’ve said it before but I mean it. Thank you Alisha for being on the show this week and for this amazing conversation!
Next week I will either A) have another episode (depending on how the interview schedule works out) or B) have a blog post about the Spiritual Practice of Looking Like an Ass. Because it’s a real thing and it’s important. In the meantime, I’ll be heading home from FillInTheBlank (at the time of this writing I’m about to board the plane in a few hours and I still don’t know where we’re going). Have a fabulous week!
